Brazilian Jazz with Kasia Eliasz & 9-Piece Band
Kildare-based
singer Kasia Eliasz brings her Brazilian Jazz Quintet, Ta Tum Tum!, a Jazz
harpist and a sax/flute player to one place at once! Extremely energetic, fun
and musically rich group will be taking you for a journey to Brazil through
Samba, Bossa Nova and Jazz!
Brazilian rhythms have its roots in
Africa and are one of the most recognisable rhythms in the world. Samba is
enacted most spectacularly in the Brazilian Carnival celebrations, which have
captured the global imagination in its pulsating rhythms, its decadent revelry,
its extroverted performativity and its extravagant exhibitionism.
And this is what this 9-piece band is
about! Sharing the most colourful and happy celebration in the world! This
9-Piece Band has been funded and supported by Kildare County Council and The Department of
Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and it had its premiere
during Culture Night 2022. It’s been sold out in places like Riverbank
Arts Centre, Arthur’s Jazz & Blues Club in Dublin and Scott’s Jazz Club in
Belfast.
