Aoife
Mulholland
sings The
Great American Songbook
with
Niall Kinsella, piano

Following their sold-out concert at the
National Concert Hall’s John Field Room, West End leading lady Aoife Mulholland
and pianist Niall Kinsella bring you a concert exploring the Great
American Songbook. Featuring music by George Gershwin (A Foggy Day,
Someone to Watch Over Me), Cole Porter (Night and Day, Anything Goes), Harold
Arlen
(Stormy Weather, Over the Rainbow), Richard Rodgers & Hart
(Manhattan, Bewitched), Jerome Kern (Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, The Way
You Look Tonight) and others, this is a concert of timeless, classic songs not
to be missed.

Irish musical theatre
star Aoife Mulholland shot to fame as one of the contestants in the hit
BBC TV show How do you solve a problem like Maria?, Andrew Lloyd
Webber’s search for the star of his new production of The Sound of Music at the
London Palladium. Finishing in fourth place out of 10,000 hopefuls, a string of
leading roles in the West End followed, including Roxie Hart in Chicago,
Maria in The Sound of Music, Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde,
and appearing in concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. Most recently, she appeared
as Marlene Dietrich in Piaf at the Gate Theatre, Dublin, and in concert
with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in the National Concert Hall and National Opera
House, Wexford.

Described as “a meticulous collaborator”
(BBC Music Magazine), Irish pianist and conductor Niall Kinsella has
established himself as one of Ireland’s most exciting, versatile and
sought-after musicians. Most recently he conducted the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in
a sold-out celebration of Rodgers & Hammerstein at NCH.
