Sunday February 2nd, the Moat Art Cafe welcomes back the varied talents of Deirdre Starr, Marion Mc Evoy and Bobby Roche, playing a set that combines Americana and folk from the canon of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Kate Mc Garrigle to original songs from Bobby and Marion.
The songs will showcase shared vocals and harmonies from the three players, and will feature a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, mandolin, accordion and harmonica.
Deirdre has to date released 6 albums of folk songs that feature her distinctive voice and piano style, and she tours regularly in Germany where she has developed a large following.
Multi-instrumentalist and composer Marion Mc Evoy blazes a musical trail across Glasnevin, Phibsboro and Stonybatter in the world of folk and trad, and every Wednesday evening anchors a session in the legendary Cobblestones pub, playing guitar, mandolin and mandola. Broadstone Belle is Marion’s latest album released in 2019.
Bobby Roche has released 3 albums of original songs to date and performs regularly in Dublin and Kildare.
